It's been a long wait but after exactly 10 months on Sellaband Vegas Dragons finally raised $50,000 yesterday (11th September), becoming only the 8th artist to do so in the process. Pre-production on the new album had already started, but now the work really begins in earnest. A BIG BIG ThanQ to everyone who believed in Vegas Dragons. We will not let you down for giving us this opportunity. But first it's PARTY NIGHT!!!

The first two Vegas Dragons albums are now available for download from Amie Street. These albums start off FREE to download but the price will go up as more people download them, so don't delay and get your copies now!!! And while you're there, don't forget to "REC" a song or two, because you'll earn money as well then when the price goes up.
Vegas Dragons are also nearly at 70% of their budget on Sellaband, so if you want to share in the profits of our third album, there isn't much time left to do so, as the last 30% of parts generally sell within a couple of weeks if the previous 7 artists to hit the recording studio are anything to go by.

"An evening with Sellaband" was a huge success, despite the fact the venue was so hot it was a miracle nobody fainted. The local noise regulations meant running an air conditioning unit or opening the windows wasn't permitted, and the show overran by more than an hour, adding to the jungle/sauna effect.
For all those who couldn't attend, Sellaband have now posted a link to the show on their site, so you can watch the entire concert, including Brian in action presenting here. If the footage of the show is anything to go by, it looks like he enjoyed himself immensely.
Despite a very late night (or should that be an early morning?) due to the after show party and nightclub visit, the following morning Brian was out with a sandwich board in London promoting Vegas Dragons and Sellaband. The locals generally seemed to be wondering what was happening, particularly as a number of Sellaband believers were taking pictures and video footage of everything that was going on. Lucretia, who is one of those believers already has some photos live on the Internet here and we hope to get more live on this site after Brian gets back to Australia with his camera!
Now it's back to Australia and final preparations for the next Vegas Dragons show on 17th June!

Brian Taylor will be in London from 30th May to 6th June 2007 and will co-present "An Evening with Sellaband" on June 5th at the Gibson Guitar Studios. Having missed out on the chance to perform live, Brian was still thrilled to be given the opportunity to host as it gives him the chance to meet many of the people who have invested money towards the third Vegas Dragons album through Sellaband, which will hopefully be recorded later this year.
Sadly the event is invite only and all the tickets have been sold, but we hope to be able to bring you many pictures from London and the event itself. Brian is even taking his video camera, so with luck we may even be able to bring you some video footage as well!
